Project Ezra encourages public reading of Scripture in various places. This week a friend and I went to the park and handed out Gospel tracts and then read from Romans 1: 16-36, John 5, and 1 John. Several adults and children responded with a request for a Bible, CD's, and more tracts! Praise God for ears that were open to hear the Word of God and boldness to expound His precious Word to us! Woofstock Witnessing

This was my first year to attend Woofstock , an event that has literally...well.. gone to the dogs! Actually, it is all about dogs! My opening question for this interview was: "What's one thing you've learned in life you wish everyone could know? " and then: "What's one thing you regret you wish everyone could learn from... and then: "Do you believe there is a God?" From there we had a wonderful discussion about creation, God, faith, truth, and why Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. (John 14: 6) The chihuahua baby dog patiently waited....

A friend (Katie) and I intentionally sought someone to share the Gospel with at the park, and found these guys at the park swings (that's what the "squeak" is). What a joy to share with them the the power of God in Christ Jesus! They also accepted some New Testaments and tracts and CD's. Please pray for them!

I met this family from Arizona in a Texas parking lot. They were kind to share with me experiences of past Christmases, such as special gifts they remembered. I took them through the 10 Commandments which shows us God's holiness and our sinfulness. I showed how Christ expounded the Law (Matthew 5) to show none of us meet that standard. Jesus said, "Be perfect!" We cannot, and Christ out of His great love for us, offered Himself as an atonement and sacrifice for sin to all who believe in Him, once for all! The insurmountable fine we could never pay in the flesh-Christ did! God is just, and cannot allow the guilty to go unpunished, save for the shed blood of His Own dear Son, Jesus Christ! The Bible says it pleased God to crush His Own Son, the just for the unjust. to bring us to God! Jesus is the end of the Law for those who repent and trust Him for forgiveness of sins. As He gives us new birth, He causes us to walk in His ways. Will you trust Him today to take away your sins? Will you humble your heart before Him? A humble and contrite heart He will not despise. Loaf of bread, bread of life-in a parking lot

I met a family of 4 from Arizona in a parking lot I asked questions like: Do you celebrate Christmas? Do you remember what your first Christmas gift was? What would you like if you could get any gift for Christmas? "If Santa used the 10 Commandments, would you be naughty or nice?" I expounded how God became just and justifier by punishing sin in Christ who upheld the Law and yet suffered under its penalty and mercifully substituted His Own Son for us-the great exchange!! Justice is satisfied. But we must repent and trust Him in this and continually trust Him daily. The son got out with a huge sub sandwich and I used it to illustrate that Jesus said He is the bread of life- we must eat his flesh and drink His blood. I asked what they think about that. The older man said, "I think it's wonderful!" I explained the urgency of being reconciled to God using the death of a friend recently-it's expedient, that Jesus is telling the truth, -He's the Way, the Truth, the Life. The one who abides in Him is the one who is the one who trusts in Him. They have Bibles and I urged them to read them. Pray Please pray for this family Thank you, Betty

Black Friday witnessing at Walmart and Staples!

Folks were waiting in very , very long lines at Walmart the wee hours, so I gave out 100's of tracts in minutes! Then outside Staples in the wee hours of the dark I found a line...I prayed and handed them the Santa buck tracts, stepped back, and open aired! It went something like: I was amazed at their tenacity for getting deals, but that we often put off what is most important: Where we'll spend eternity. I asked them to consider if they've broken God's Law and then expounded the cross and why Jesus is able to bear our sins....some of them thanked me....then I turned and went to my car...rather quickly! Praise God for the seeds sown and the empowerment to speak the Gospel boldly!! These youth agreed to an interview and they like the movie Saw..so I springboarded from there and other questions about Halloween. They asked some good questions like "How do you know that God is real"? and questions about Hell and reincarnation. I urged them to get into their Bibles for truth and to repent and trust Jesus from the judgment to come and for eternal life. Please pray for these youth. They took tracts and CD's as well.

These guys agreed to an interview at the park. I asked them some thought questions, they were jovial and fun, but as we got beyond their generalities, I pressed for meaning of what they said, and took them through the Law of a Holy God to show that sin is punishable by death and Hell, using a courtroom as an analogy of the necessity of punishment of crime. I urged them to examine themselves to see if they were truly in the faith (1 John). I showed them that people are dead in their sins, and that Jesus said the gate is narrow and few find it, some thinking they are saved, even professing Christ- but are working lawlessness. (Matt. 7:23) That they will be known by their fruit, not to live as a hypocrite. You must be born of God. Count the cost. They got quiet. One of them finally said, "I think I'm going to Hell." They laughed nervously. I left them w/ CD's w/ Law/grace and asked them to not play games any longer. Please pray for their souls, for Father to save them from the wrath to come.

I picked up a gallon of milk at the grocery and discovered there was no expiration date (ah..could have used that as a lead-in) and this very nice lady helped me out, then I swallowed my fear, and asked her where she would go when she died? She said she would go to Heaven because she is a Christian, and is a good person and does good things. She graciously listened as I took her through the Law that shows our sin and God's holiness. She said she believed all these things after I explained, but at the beginning I perceived she thought being a Christian is doing good things... so never assume just because someone professes this, that they understand what it means. Jesus said many would could Him Lord when they face Him, and He will say "Depart from Me, workers of iniquity". I met Quillan- a college student at a Christian college-working at a mall and gave him a million tract and asked what he would do w/ that much money? I asked if he thinks America trusts in God, like the motto says on our currency. I presented him with stats such as 60 % of Americans commit adultery and 90% lie daily. Then getting personal, I took him through the Law of GOd to show his sin, when he thought he himself was a good person. This spoke to his conscience and then I shared that only God Himself could pay the fine of sin through we offer God to atone are like dog vomit. That eternal life is to know God and His Son Jesus Christ whom He has sent. I gave Quillan a John study guide and CD, and asked him to call on God to save him through His Son and repentance and to read his Bible! www.needGod.com

This morning JW's knocked and i wasn't dressed appropriately, so I ran to change, and then ran (okay-walked) down the road to catch them after grabbing some millions/zillions tracts. I gestured and one older lady, Elizabeth, approached me. She handed me her magazines (I knew this was a ploy ) to open her Bible and give me the "spiel" . I let her read a while and then asked, "What do you think happens after you die?" She said there is a resurrection. I said, "yes, of the just and the unjust. Who is justified?" She said we have to have works to show our faith in Jesus. I asked, "Who is Jesus"? She said, "What's your opinion?" I said, 'It doesn't matter what my opinion is, but what is truth?" She asked if I believed in the Trinity. She said Jesus never claimed to be God in the flesh. She talked some more and said they had to go, a friend wasn't feeling well. I quickly asked if I could ask her one question, and asked her the knife in the back-3 minutes to live scenario Ray uses and she said there wasn't much we could do at that point. She said something about works, and we went for a while down that trail and I brought her into God's courtroom of justice. She said she tries to keep the commandments, and doesn't break them intentionally... I explained if a murderer tries to do good after murder-he's still a murderer, that God can't be bribed or corrupted. Jesus said "Fear Him who can cast soul and body into Hell." She asked if I believed it was literal. I said of course. She wanted to say it was all symbolic. I took her back to the courtroom-and God's justice. We went down the trail of "Jesus isn't God" for a bit, and I told her to read Hebrews 1 and reiterrated that we can only be saved by grace through faith, that only Jesus' blood cleanses from ALL unrighteousness. I also used Rev. 1: 8, 18, Hebrews 1, etc. I said, "Elizabeth, don't be deceived. I don't know your age, but I would say in 50 years that we both will not be here-the Bible says once to die, then the judgment. God was angry with the Israelites for striving to work rather than rest in Him, that's the reason for the Sabbath...your good works are filthiness....to quit striving and trying to work and rest in Him alone to save her! I urged her to get some old Reformation and KJV and compare them and repent and trust Jesus. O again took her through the knife/back, she asked, "How can someone repent if you are dying in a second?" I said look at the thief on the cross. I said, "You've got a big problem, because your Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible." She wanted me to take the magazine, I said no thanks. She asked "why didn't you come by me like we we came and found you?" I said, " I do! all over town and everywhere I go! What's your address?? " She wouldn't give it to me!! She said she had to go-the men (sigh) were waiting on her in the car...I walked to the car and the window was down and I laid 3 millions/zillions tracts on a lady's lap and said, "I want you to take these..you want people to take things from you! Thank you" Then I walked away. Please pray for Elizabeth and the others who are being deceived and spreading deception. We went to the July 4th celebration in Comanche 30 miles away. We enjoyed the fireworks and also handed out the REAL freedom truth: the Gospel of Jesus Christ! (Freedom Cash from www.customtractsource.com) Afterwards I saw a man rolling down a grassy incline near his car-it was very comical. I asked him if he was enjoying himself-he was. I engaged him in a conversation and turned things to the eternal. He is a recovering alcoholic and said he rubs his little Christmas tree car scent cardboard creation and prays...so going thru the Commandments I reminded him he was making up a god to suit himself, breaking the 1st and 2nd. His heart did not seem open to the truth of this at the moment, but please pray for him to come to repentance and faith in Christ! I gave his family CD's and tracts as well. He is from Mexico.

I went along the tourist area in Cozumel and handed out million dollar tracts. They loved them! I also did some interviews. Yul was our room steward aboard the Carnival cruiseship. We worked our way thru some opening questions about his country (Philippines) toward "Why are we here?" He said that was a hard question. After I took him through Law/grace, Yul surprised me by saying his wife had recently almost died from a mosquito bite. She is Catholic, and has a Bible. Yul did not have one on ship-I gave him a CD, Gospel of John study, tracts, and booklet. Please pray for Yul and his family to come to true saving faith in the cross of Christ! And for all those who got tracts/CDs, etc onboard and in Mexico. My husband gave tracts in Chichen-Itza,Ycatan, where people were sacrificed to idols years ago, but descendants still live there! We witnessed at Market Square "Beer Alley" where thousands upon thousands were out fornicating, drinking, and getting drunk. These folks believed themselves to be "lukewarm" and denied that they love their sin...they tried to defend it by saying Jesus made water out of wine (that was wrong too) . They believe if they ask for forgiveness after they practice habitual sin, that God forgives them. There was a youth pastor out here in this crowd I talked to that behaved the same. I referred him to Matthew 7-many will say, "Lord Lord" on judgment day, and Jesus will say depart from Me, workers of lawlessness-I never knew you.

Walking back from Market Square, Sandra and I gave people Gospel tracts who were waiting at a bus stop. I decided to gather courage and open air (that is, witness to a crowd all at once, instead of one to one. This requires raising the voice-something I am not very good at-tends to dry out my mouth!) Please pray for these folks that heard the Gospel-that they would repent-turn from sin, confess and forsake it-and turn to Christ to save them from the wrath and judgment to come. Praise God for giving me courage!

Sonny encounters the true Gospel at Fiesta Carnival, San Antonio

A team of us went to San Antonio for Fiesta weekend. We tracted thousands of parade-goers and those going out to drink, party, and fornicate. The crowds were very large this year. At the carnival, Gabriel engaged Sonny in a conversation and explained to him that without repentance, he would perish. Sonny seemed as if he knew the cost of following Christ, but was fearful to do so, knowing what it would cost him. Gabriel explained that repentance isn't just telling God you're sorry, but to confess and forsake sin, and turn to God in obedience and faith. Please pray for Sonny that God would grant him repentance to faith, and that Sonny's life would be lived to the glory of God!!

Witnessing to chinese Olympics reps at Main Street Arts Fest!

A large group of Chinese were at the Arts Fest to represent the Olympics. I gave them all millions tracts and had several good conversations about Jesus and themselves, using the Law which brings the knowledge of sin. The Law pricked consciences, showed the holiness of God, and thus made the cross of Christ precious! This is my interview with Haoron. I gave them all the Gospels of John and Romans booklets I could find, and we took pictures together. Please pray for Haoron and all the Chinese who got Gospel materials, that they read and understand, repent, and believe in the cross of Christ for eternal life and forgiveness of sins. Praise God for bringing them to hear the Gospel!!

Kingdom Hall -witnessing to Jehovah Witnesses!!

I asked them to look in their Bible, and read Isaiah 44:6. "I am the first and the last, and besides me there is no God." Then I asked them to turn to Revelation 1:8 and read their Bible: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end." They agreed, Jehovah. Then I asked them to read Revelation 1: 17,18. "I am the first and the last, and the living One, and I became dead." I asked "When did Jehovah God die? " He re-read it. They stammered around it....he wanted to get his magazine, but I asked him to explain it from just the Bible. He said, "This can do it so much better than we can (about his magazine)..from there it was over an hour. Please pray for Richard and Wilma to know the Truth in the person and Godhead of Jesus Christ!!

Firefighter Station #1: The siren has sounded!!

I purposed into the fire department for an interview, and Mr.Matt kindly showed me all the trucks aswering all my questions. I asked such as: How long have you been a firefigher? Why did you want to become a firefighter? What is one of the worst fires you've had to battle? Have you ever been burned? Have you had to rescue any of your friends? Have you ever been on a 2nd story and had fire beneath you and wondered if the floor would fall through? What would you think of a firefighter who had gone through training, been called to a fire, a house is engulfed, and he sat in his truck and listened to music? (thank you Ray and Kirk!) Has anyone ever died in a fire you fought? What do you think happens after you die? Listen here....and the siren as they got a call! Phone fishing in Texas with Mormons at Tamara's in Ohio !!

Tamara and I were visiting on the phone, and the Mormons walked by her house. She got them to come up and I talked w/ one on the phone, and she talked to the other! For 30 minutes I witnessed using the Law, contradictions between BOM and the Bible, priesthood, perfection, repentance, and false teachings of Joseph Smith and other leaders,such as God having flesh and bones, Joseph committing adultery and lying, using occultic practices, and more. Please, please pray that Father draw these men to the saving truth of salvation in Christ alone!!

This young man from Houston granted an interview at a jr. college. I posed 4 questions about where we came from, why we're here, how to live, where do we go when we die? Some other guys walked by and I offered some cash for those who could name the 10 Commandments. From there, and shooting for their heart condition, I reasoned with them about Heaven, Hell, eternity, and God's justice from God's Law and His Word. They gave the classical "God just forgives", so I took them to a courtroom setting to show that God will not be bribed or corrupted, and will uphold His Law, and that everything will be laid bare before our Creator. A wasp flew by, so I used the "sting of death" to illustrate further. Please pray for these young men to be convicted of sin, that God would grant them repentance, and salvation. This guy interviewed in a loud, crowded, college cafeteria. kept using his friend's name, and by the time we got thru his friends had all left. I asked "Who do you think is the most hated man in history?" He said Hitler. I disagreed. (It is Jesus Christ) Then I asked "What is the most important thing to you?" and "What are 3 things written on a tombstone? " and "What do you think happens after you die?" He said, "It depends on what you believe in!" So I dove in for absolute truth, belief, and the Law and the Gospel of Christ which is the power of God unto salvation. He tried justifying certain sins, believing God "just forgives". A majority of people believe this. Meeting the Gospel in the college cafeteria!

It was really loud, but these 3 guys agreed to an interview in the cafeteria. I gave them millions tracts from www.livingwaters.com They HOPED they would go to Heaven...using the Law, and their God-given conscience, I reasoned with them about sin, Hell, death, and the judgment of God. They have Bibles, but they don't have them in town on campus. I gave them some John Piper and Mark Cahill books and some Ray Comfort CD's. Please pray for these men to repent and trust Jesus for salvation!

Running the race at the trackmeet!

I approached a group of youth who participated in the Bluebonnet Relays Track Meet and gave them MySpace tracts from www.onemilliontracts.com . George, originally from London, then Capetown, S. Africa and now lives in Denton, agreed to an interview! His other friends pitched in as well. I posed 4 questions, and he believed in the Big Bang and evolution. One asked, "How do I know Heaven exists?" and how to not lust. I reasoned w/ them about creation and the Creator, morality and the Moral-giver. We went thru the conscience and God's Law which brings the knowledge of sin, God's justice, and HIs forgiveness, propitiation in the cross for those who humble their hearts, repent and believe in Christ to save them from judgement and Hell.

10 Things found in an Easter basket?

These 2 young ladies tried to guess 10 things found in an Easter basket..then they tried to guess the 10 Commandments for a prize. They retrieved a 10 Commandment coin from an egg to help them out...after going thru them, it helped them to understand the holiness of God and His righteous judgment against sinners...I took them thru John 3 to explain the love of God in the cross, and if we don't repent and believe, His wrath remains on us. (John 3:36). They had started going to church and stopped doing some worldly things, I reiterated that it is the cross alone that saves us from God's wrath. I gave them Piper 50 Reasons Jesus Why Jesus Came to die books. Please pray for salvation for these 2 sweet girls!
